HOMEFIRES the much-loved Central London weekend festival returns for a third instalment of off-the-wall fun this June. Set once again in the wood-panelled chambers of the Ethical Society at Conway Hall, Holborn, Homefires III promises an array of fabulous unknowns, soon-to-be’s and big names doing us a favour, to at least equal the excellent line ups of HF I and II.
Performing under the proscenium scrolled Victorian motto “To thine own self be true” this time round, will be a bill to be formally announced fully in the next couple of weeks. Meantime, those who’ve been before will know the scoop and verify that the HOMEFIRES brand carries a guarantee of impeccable credentials to encourage the “early adopter” to buy now.
HOMEFIRESI and II played host to beautiful performances from Smog, Joanna Newsom, Jose Gonzales, Willy Mason, Magic Numbers, Gruff Rhys (Super Furries), Beth Orton, Badly Drawn Boy, James Yorkston, Micah P Hinson, Scout Niblet, King Creosote, Hot Chip, Amina, Mugison, White Magic, Espers, Alasdair Roberts, Lau Nau, PG Six, Memory Band, Juana Molina and Bert Jansch. This year promises to be hotter still.
